KID WAVE
Sometimes when you're walking about you just hear a tune and it grabs you and you just want to hear more and more of it. That's what happened today, whilst shopping for some new trainers and some cords (cords have to be the most underrated of all leg coverings, and no self respecting person should ever be without a good supply in their wardrobe).
The tune that caught my ear big time today was 'All I Want' from Kid Wave, and what a cracker it is too. The track will be featured on the upcoming EP, Gloom, due for release on 24th November 2014.
Produced by Rory Atwel and recorded at Lightship 95, Gloom, available as a 4-track 7 inch, features the tracks Gloom, Brimstone and Young Blood & All I Want, both of which appeared as part of the band's first download only release on Heavenly in September of this year
Recently signed to Heavenly Recordings, the band will be performing in Glasgow on Sunday 23rd November in Stereo so be sure to come along and hear some great tunes from a new band that promises to deliver something different.
Kid Wave started out in 2011 as a recording and writing project for Lea Emmery when she moved to London from the East coast of Sweden. She was joined in 2013 by Serra Patale, originally from Perth in Australia, Londoner Harry Deacon and Mattias Batt, who hails from the same town in Sweden as Lea.
The band are currently recording their debut album which is due for release in early 2015.
