THINGS THAT WE THINK YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT

ROXY 171 TO CLOSE

It's with a heavy heart that we mourn the passing of yet another Glasgow venue, The Roxy 171.

The venue, that has seen a really great DIY scene start to emerge, closed today with all staff losing their jobs with only eight hours notice.  Sad times indeed.

We at Evo had some great nights in Roxy, not least our recent run of #LIVEISBETTER events that finished recently after 5 months of great artists and great music.

Music booker, Gerry Blythe, has been lucky enough to secure alternative venues for bands that were booked to perform in The Roxy later this month.

Farewell Roxy, and from us at Evo thanks to every one of you for making us feel part of your venue.  You know who you are.
