Les Frites Petites Vol 1

Describing themselves as a loose collective of musicians, artists & songwriters based in West Lothian & a wee bit beyond, Les Frites Petites debut album Vol 1 is actually an eclectic mix of new Scottish music spread over twelve equally brilliant tracks

If you think collective rather than band, you'll get a better idea of what this compilation album is all about. Formed by Robin Crosbie (aka adullboy) through a closed group on Facebook, the Frites started off simply encouraging and promoting each other's respective bands. Eventually the idea to create a compilation album was formed, and here it is.

The track listing is a joy to the ears:

  • 1. adullboy - Do You Remember The 80's? 03:55

  • 2. Wullie Mammoth - Factory (part 1) 03:42

  • 3. Combie - I Kissed The Sun 04:35

  • 4. Lovers Turn To Monsters - Skeletor 03:39

  • 5. Ryan Morcombe - Closer 04:44

  • 6. The Boy With The Lion Head - I'll Hide All The Things That Remind Me Of You 03:13

  • 7. Craig Weir - Day In May 04:16

  • 8. Ross Mitchell - New York 03:42

  • 9. Brian Gatens - Only Been A Week 02:55

  • 10. Kick The Hornets Nest - For You 03:55

  • 11. Electrolite - In Line 03:10

  • 12. Andy Robertson - Falling Down 04:02

We fired up our CD, and this is certainly not an album with any filler. Whilst we can't quite put our finger on it, there's a definite theme running through this collection of tracks, with each one an outright worthy listen on its own.

We highly recommend you get your hands on a copy - either physical or digital. Where can you do this? Why, at the links below!

Check it out - you'll love it.
