THINGS THAT WE THINK YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT

MICHAEL LOVISA

Suffice to say, we get dead excited when we hear that an artist we love will be coming out with some new material.

One such artist is Michael Lovisa who will be releasing his new EP, There's A Mess In You, And That's Beautiful shortly.

We caught up with Michael to find out what to expect.

The two tracks were born between May and September. I wanted to experiment pushing forward my two worlds: acoustic and electronic. Like for the previous EP, I didn't want to find a middle area between them, I wanted to take them individually and create my own union. Like always, everything is played, recorded, programmed, mixed by me.

The atmosphere comes from my last months in Como, it comes from those nights between the night words, the night rooftops, the night walks, the night truths, the night hugs, the night peace, the night rhythm of opening ourselves to each other.

The title's concept follow the same idea of the one of my Empty EP: explaining the mood and the thoughts about where the tracks come from, to help the listeners to fit in immediately. I needed a really long title to make my thoughts clear this time. Moreover I wanted to represent the union of my two musical worlds merging the single titles to shape the EP's full title. I'm still considering the idea of releasing some of my poems with the EP, but that will depends on a lot of things. So, nothing sure about it.

I just hope that this EP could help someone to find his own moments of inner peace, like it helped me to find mines. I think sometimes you just have to reconsider every side of you, starting to know yourself again from scratch.
