THE PHANTOMS
We'd been looking forward to getting a chance to seeing The Phantoms live for a long time. Since the first time we heard their debut track, we've been hooked.
Tonight, from the first riff - old school indie brought alive by a band that has the confidence well beyond their years - The Phantoms grabbed the audience by the balls and refused to loosen their grip.
This was the first time that the band has performed at Glasgow's King Tut's - and while we are all aware of the historical status of the venue, there was nothing phasing The Phantoms tonight. In fact, from the first moment the band took to the stage they - in the words of many a TV pop personality - they owned it.
It was great to see that not only did the band bring along a great crowd to fully support their performance, part of those that came along were also musicians as well.
This is where we say hi again to Japan Four - another group of artists that are of the same mindset as not only The Phantoms but also Evo4 - who turned up to show their support for the band. When people get together as a community and show their support for likeminded artists, there's nothing better.
One this is for sure - The Phantoms are coming, and they're coming for you.
